The dress is finished!

I have Loved working on this dress!
You can't tell by the pictures, but there are 4 yards of material just in the skirt.

When the hoop skirt is under it, you will really see it stand out!

I billed for 10 hours, but I had
more like 14 in it.
I had a mistake to pick out and resew,
and I didn't bill for that or the  pressing
and "thinking" time.  ;-)

I finished the neckline with a plain facing.
Then I added a facing to the collar so I could safety pin it to the
top of the dress and remove it for cleaning or to add a different
collar for a different look.

I used velcro to close the back  so there
were no button holes or zippers to
work around.

It made a smooth closure.
So, that is all the sewing I'm doing for a while.

We are heading to Lancaster Co. Pa for a day or two and a couple of days in Niagra Falls also.  We plan to see the Joseph play at the Sight and Sound theater on our way home.

I'll post pictures when I get back.  I plan to do nothing but play tourist for the next week.  See You Then!
