Back from vacation

Here we are with the crowd on our bus trip.

The American side of the Falls and the Bridal Falls.

The Horseshoe Falls

The Rainbow Bridge

We think that everyday must be a bad hair day at the Falls.
All that mist and wind is too much to take full time.

The ride over the whirlpool.

The whirlpool.

Niagara's Flower Clock

The Maid of the Mist was the most fun thing to do.

Heading straight into the Mist of the Falls.

Backing off a little now, such power!

Sweet New Friends, Deloris and Mary

Back in Lancaster now, in the one room school of the Amish.

Beautiful quilts were everywhere.

Amish craftmanship
This was a really great trip.  I havn't posted anything about the Sight and Sound Theater.  Such a fantastic show.  So God honoring and true to the Bible.

Our meal at the Good & Plenty was just great.

I just can't say enough about how much fun this trip was.
Now, it's back to work.  I'm starting on those antique doll fashions.
And I had some tayloring jobs waiting for me when I got back.

I'll post some doll pictures next.

  2. Looks like you had a wonderful time Donna, even new friends. I could never get in that ride over the whirlpool though and my hair couldn't take much of that mist. The photos of the falls and you and your husband were very nice!

  3. I had never been to the falls. Most everyone I talked to had been there on their honeymoon or anniversary. We were long over due!
Wanda & Bernie, I read your blogs all the time and never comment. Sorry, I do enjoy you both, It seems that I don't have much free time. No excuse I know, but I do enjoy you both and your blogs. Thanks for your comments.

  5. I have never been to Niagara Falls, but your pictures were great! And my favorite, the Amish country. I love to eat at the Good and Plenty! Glad you had a fun trip. I was at Kure Beach this weekend with my sister and my girl cousins. My sister and I went thrifting on Friday, but did not come as far down as your shop. We were up near the Shallote area. Went to the Fancy Flea and some other smaller shops. The weather was gorgeous this weekend. Love & blessings from NC!
