Lamp make overs and sewing pillows.

I bought some old fashioned lamps at work.
The shades were white cardboard.
I covered them with Mod Podge and pages from
an old falling apart hymn book I rescued from
the thrift store trash.

These are from the 70's I'd think.

I gave them a coat of primer first.

They needed a second coat.
They were so shiny that the primer didn't
stick as well as I thought it would.

After 2 coats they were ready to spray paint.

I used Ace Hardware Metallic Silver spray paint.
It did a great job.

It covered really well and was extra shiny.

I did this little house picture frame too.

I sewed some pillows also.

I'm really pleased with how my project turned out.

I've been doing some other sewing also, but I will have
to post about it sometime later.

I'll be looking at all your blogs today!

  2. I agree with Terri, just spectacular! The pillows are nice too. My daughter used chevrons for her family's Easter outfits and I really like them.
