Sewing Little Dresses

One of our bloggy buddies posted a while ago about
her friends that were sewing little dresses for some missionaries to
take to Haiti.

The pattern is posted on "littledressesforafrica".
I volunteered to make 5 (or so).
At that time I hadn't made one so I didn't know if I'd want to make more than that.
So, I've been working on them in the evening and they are fun to make!!
They are made from pillowcases and sew up easy and fast.
I'll show you the rest soon!

  2. I just volunteered to knit some scarves for a blog friend whose church is making them to send with their church members on a mission trip. Your pillowcase dresses look adorable! Isn't it rewarding to make those dresses and think of the children who will wear them? I have a friend who came thrifting to your area (probably to your shop) this week. Small world, isn't it? Have a great weekend. Love & blessings from NC!

  8. Those are adorable! I pray that whoever receives them will 'feel' the love that was put into them and that their hearts will be drawn to the One you serve.

  9. Thanks for all your sweet comments.
I don't deserve any of them. I love to sew and this is more fun for me than I can tell you.
It gives me a chance to serve the Lord and that is a blessing too.
But, I do enjoy your comments.
    smile, Donna
