Fall Crafting

It has been a while since I posted.  I have been busy at home and at work.

This is the end of the summer at the Thrift Store and we have been doing the end of the season
change out.  All the summer clothing has been moved to the front racks and reduced and
we have gotten the totes full of fall donations (collected throughout the year) moved from the
storage area to the work rooms to be unpacked and hung on hangers.

It is a big job.  We have only 2 employees on duty per day.  We have 2 or 4 volunteers per day.

Tuesday is the last day of the clearance sale.  All summer stuff is 8 items for $2.00!!

We have $2.00 Tuesday every week (we pick an item...like shoes or purses or tops or pants...and make the price $2.00).

So, after Tuesday it will be all fall items at our store.

The picture is something I made for the front door today.  I thought we needed some fall colors around here but I am not ready for the pumpkins yet....

So I made the bag  from my scrap stash.  I hung it on the door, but it wanted to collapse...it didn't look so good.  I cut a small cereal box down and used it inside of the bag and put the flowers in...they hung too far
forward, so I stuffed some plastic bags in front of them to make them stand back.  That looked so much better.

I am pleased with it;  What do you think?

I like scrap quilts and your bag looks so pretty with the flowers in it. I have missed you in blog land, but know you have been busy. Enjoy your week. Love & blessings from NC!
