Whats so special about Linleigh?

You may wonder whats so special about Linleigh...
Here is Daddy Brad on the day she got to go home from the hospital.

Everything looks so good right?

Well before this day came this day....

This is Linleigh when she was about 2 days old

She was born at 25 weeks 2 days gestation
(26 weeks is considered the edge of viability, when a premie can survive)

Everyone we knew was praying for her

We had faith that God would do something special for her and us.

He did!

God performed a miracle for Linleigh and us.

Here she is wearing her daddy's wedding ring as a bracelet.

Linleigh was born in October on the 29th, her grandpa's birthday.

This is a Christmas photo.
2 months had passed and she was still in the NICU !

This is Amanda's hand on Linleighs back.

She weighed 1 lb and 7 oz.

This is the first time Amanda got to hold her.

I got to hold her when she was about 2 months old.

Still in the NICU.

Linleigh has had a developmental therapist since she was born to help

with problems that often come with this amount of prematurity.

On Friday, they told us that she has no delay of maturity and can go to a regular

preschool class.

We praise God for that great report.

We love all our grandchildren and they are all special.

But, in Linleigh we got to see a miracle happen before our eyes.

She has been such a blessing to the whole family and has drawn us closer to

each other and closer to God.

( if you have not seen Linleigh, look at the previous 2 posts- you will be amazed)
