New Monogram pillow for a bedroom redo!

My bedroom is painted blue
but, it is the kind of blue that can look gray.

I had a blue and white quilt on the bed,
but, I got tired of the look.

Then a plum and gray comforter came into the thrift store.

I bought it and began to make a change.
I bought gray sheets and a cover for my chair.

I used the sheets that came with the comforter to
make curtains.

I bought this skirt from the $1.00 clearance rack and
started making a pillow.

I had a wooden letter L on a book shelf.
I traced it with a sharpie and colored it in.
If you do this, be sure to use a light hand.
(don't press down)

I made the ruffled flowers from pieces of the skirt hem.
I used some buttons and a silver jewelry charm to
embellish the flowers.

I really like the look.
I just glued the flowers on.
I don't expect to wash this pillow.
When  I get tired of it, I'll just make something else.

What do you think?

  2. Love it! I buy a lot of clothes from thrift shops to transform into all sorts of crafts. I love it when I find leather skirts, sweaters, etc. Your pillow will add that extra warmth to your bedroom for sure! Patsy from
