exploring the mountains.

My friend from Alabama
came for a visit and
we spent time at the beach
and at the mountains.

We have been pals since the
9th grade.

We do not get to visit
very often, but she makes
the long drive about
once a year to see us.

The air was cool and the
water looked refreshing,
but we did not go in.

We did some exploring at
Morotok Park.

This lake is in Hanging Rock Park.
It is usually full of swimmers.
You can see that the cooler temps at
night and the start of school
has given the swimmers other things to do.

Well, it's back to work and our regular
life for a few more weeks.
Then we hope to visit "Autumn in Oz"
at Beech Mountain, NC
